Sidewalk Prioritization

The City of Memphis has finished School Safety and Pedestrian Action Plan, which identifies greatest needs for sidewalk repair and installation. City has created a sidewalk repair assistance program based on disability status, age and household income. (Update: Mid-2015)

The Office of Sustainability has modeled a 0.5 mile walking buffer around the proposed Greenprint corridors and used the MPO’s sidewalk prioritization scores to rank the various sections. This target will be completed during Spring 2016.
